Stefan has over 30 years of podiatric clinical experience within podiatric medicine. Originally working within the UK, in both the NHS and private practice, he migrated to New Zealand in 1995, since then working with his own private practice.

Improving quality of life for our patients
I believe achieving good results depends on obtaining a correct diagnosis and to achieve this, in my view, the most important thing that I can do is listen. Listening to my patient, let them talk, taking the time to let them explain why they are seeing me, their experiences and effect of their disorder. Asking questions, taking the time to allow them to answer. In my view this is vital to help to achieve a good outcome.
It’s also important to keep up to date with current knowledge and the use of advanced diagnostic equipment. If I can treat it, if I can’t it’s also important to utilise the expertise of other medical specialists and refer patients to receive help when necessary.
